CONCRETE REVOLT is a collaborative project investing in community connection, inner growth and environmental sustainability, and was formed between Concrete Trails (Todd, NY) and myself (Monique, AZ). We're against the modern need to pave the earth and advance technologically without first looking inside and building within ourselves and our communities. We’re donating bandana and patch proceeds to a project we believe in: Bikepacking Roots which is "dedicated to supporting and advancing bikepacking, growing a diverse bikepacking community, advocating for the conservation of the landscapes and public lands through which we ride, and creating professional routes."
THE DESIGN:
Wildflowers represent the small yet resilient act of growth and connection while rising up again and again. Green, black and orange to blend with nature.
Gear - bicycle gear around the E b/c we're passionate about bicycles.
A = anarchy - society or group of people that entirely rejects a set hierarchy; also inspired by A for abolition because we believe in people more than prisons.
E = equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
Peace = peace because we need it on every level.
