What is the recommended bike for the Super Jambo Grom Pre?

For the Super Jambo Grom Pre 2024, I recommend a well-maintained gravel bike with at least 47 tires. It will be helpful to have some easy climbing gears in the case you are doing the 1000 km. The route can certainly be enjoyed with anything beyond this capability. If you have a choice between a gravel bike and a full-suspension mountain bike, I would recommend something closer to the gravel bike than a full-suss.

Where is the money for registration going?

1. Rego packs which include goodies for your ride

2. Coupons for meals etc during your ride at various locations

3.  A take away breakfast and party on the Saturday morning departure.

Is there a refund policy?

A partial refund of 75% of the registration cost will be given for cancellations that occur prior to January 31, 2024. A partial refund of 50% of the registration cost will be given for cancellations that occur prior to February 16, 2024. No refunds will be offered after March 1, 2024.

Is there any insurance or liability taken by Jambz Distribution for riders?

No.

Each individual attending the Super Jambo Grom Pre 2024 is responsible for their own safety and preparedness during the entirety of the ride. This is not a race, it is a ride. However ride/race it how you would like.

Who can attend the departure breakfast?

Each person who will be coming to the breakfast on the 16th of March must either be registered for the event or if it is a loved one or supportive friend you can enjoy the party and breakfast for $15 per head.

When does Early Bird finish?

Early bird registration is at the price of $85 and ends on the 31st of January, After this the tickets will be at $120 until registration closes 3 days prior to the event.

Will there be support on the route?

This is a self-supported event. Please understand your limitations and prepare for someone to help you if you are in need. Unless you organise it, no one will be there to help you if something goes wrong.

There will be limited phone service along the route (depending on provider).

There will be some sections you will be able to cut corners on if you are stuck.

Prioritise Joy.
