This year I will be making 12 routes for 12 months. These routes will be focusing on iconic Australia. Learning about the areas they run through, creatively presenting these routes and increasing the cycle touring community.

This route travels through the New England Highlands. The diverse landscape of mountains, valleys, plains and rivers in the region is the traditional country of the Gamilaroi people. Cycling through forgotten townships, communities and where "the wild rivers run". Australia's largest and most permanent river systems, the Murray and the Darling, have their headwaters in these highlands.
